Plug your Trezor® into your computer or mobile device using the provided USB cable. On the Trezor.io/Start page, you’ll be prompted to download Trezor Suite, the official app that allows you to manage your wallet securely.

If your browser requests it, you may also be asked to install Trezor Bridge, which facilitates secure communication between your Trezor and your browser.
All new Trezor® devices are shipped without firmware to ensure authenticity. Once connected, you’ll be guided through installing the latest verified firmware directly from Trezor servers.

Your Trezor® device will now generate a unique 12- or 24-word recovery seed. This seed is your master backup—if your device is ever lost, stolen, or damaged, this phrase will allow you to restore access to your funds.
🔐 Important: Write the words down on paper and store them in a secure, offline location. Do not take photos or store them digitally.
Anyone who gains access to your recovery seed can steal your assets. Treat it with the highest level of security.
You’ll now set a PIN code to protect local access to your device. This code is required every time you connect your Trezor® and adds another layer of physical protection.
Avoid simple codes like 1234 or your birthdate.
